Last semester, Signature School juniors and seniors teamed up with Joshua Academy fourth graders to form a partnership of students teaching other students. Each student was given a buddy from the other school with whom they created a Wikispace page. Signature students send their buddy prompts for essays, science projects, and math activities through the Wikispace. The Joshua students would then complete their assignments and submit it to the Wikispace to be graded. Though the “bright ones” from Joshua Academy were being taught about math, science, and writing by Signature’s “brighter ones” (as Joshua teachers like to call them), one might be surprised at how much the “bright ones” have been able to teach their older counterparts.
